Meet Laura
Laura was a mother, a grandmother and a fighter. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, she faced it head-on, every single day, and never backed down.
Like many people living with serious illness, Laura also faced financial hardship after she was forced onto disability. Grants helped ease that burden. But no amount of financial help could lift the stress of the disease itself. That's where our story began.
Our Story
In October 2022, Laura, her daughter Kim, and the rest of their family took a long-awaited trip to Disney World. Planning it gave Laura hope and something to look forward to. Being there gave her the pure joy of time with her grandbabies and the people she loved most, moments her illness couldn’t take from her.
That trip became the inspiration for Laura’s Wish Foundation. Kim created it in her mother’s honor, to give other families facing terminal illness what financial help alone can’t: a break from the everyday stress, and time together they’ll always hold onto.
Wishes We've Granted
No two wishes are alike, and that’s the point.
We’ve provided Adirondack chairs so a recipient could sit outside and enjoy quiet evenings with her family. We’ve rebuilt a backyard into a space for gathering. We’ve sent families to Disney and arranged meet-and-greets with celebrities. Big or small, each wish is deeply meaningful to the recipient.
